End of story Revised
Author’s note: This is about what I thought about a chapter when Johnny dies in “The Outsiders”. Also I’m going to revise it.
When Johnny dies terror struck. Darry went crazy and killed himself. Ponyboy goes delusional and pretends that Johnny isn’t dead. Also Johnny’s parents don’t even care when he died. I disliked this part so much because everyone seemed to react very badly. That part made the story go from comedy to tragedy in five seconds. I hated the end and if I could, I would make the chapter different. This is what I think that should’ve had happened.
“Oh Johnny please don’t die,” Dally said, “Please don’t.”
“I’m not dead you fool,” Johnny gasped, “I just need some sleep that’s all.”
“Got it,” Dally said, “I’ll come in and check on you every day okay?”
“Okay,” Johnny said. Then he fell fast asleep.
I sprinted back home really excited. Johnny is alive! I thought. My heart was pumping faster and faster. Everything is back to normal. The Socs and the greasers are friends. Johnny is alive and Darry is nice again. I’m so happy I could take on anyone now. When I got home I told everyone the good news. We had a nice dinner and Darry helped me with my paper. Finally we all went to bed.
That’s the ending that would make the story into a comedy. Also, everybody doesn’t go berserk. If that was the ending you wouldn’t feel like that was a depressing story. That is what I think on how the story should end.
This is a really good piece, and I agree with you. I loved how you used the word, berserk.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very well written piece of writing. I like how you changed if he died or not. I thought it could have been longer but overall it was great.
