Connections

How you ever read a novel that had so many connections with you? In the novel, The Blue Ginni of Babylon by P.B. Kerr, there are so many connections with my life. In fact I had so many connections with this novel, I almost felt like the main characters and I was related. Also this novel had a lot of connections with my family too. This novel has so many connections with my life, and my family.


One connection in my life was a tournament. In the novel one of the main characters (Phillipa) joined a tournament. She would’ve won, but someone cheated. That is exactly what happened with me. I was in a wrestling tournament and someone cheated and I lost. Although the main character and I lost in the tournament, we still kept going and went to the same tournament again. Also another connection was that the same main character got something blamed for when she never did the problem. When I was in fifth grade I was blamed for stealing a notebook when I never did anything. Even though Phillipa and I were blamed for at school, we still kept going to school and we didn’t complain about anything. Those are the connections about my life.


Even though I had a lot of connections in my life, my whole family has connections too. During the novel Phillipa’s parent lost his job because it went out of business. In my family’s life, my dad’s company went out of business too. Although they both lost their jobs, they still went out to the city to look for a new job. After that, they found even better paid jobs. Also once in the book Phillipa’s mom got promoted in her job to a higher spot and her mom accepted it. When my mom was working well they promoted her to a higher spot and she accepted it too. Those are my family’s connections.


It is obviously clear that I have a lot of connections with this book. In general, I really can’t find a main lesson in a book. Since this book had a lot of connections though, I found the main lesson really easily which is always trust your friends. Those are my connections of the book.
