The pearl

In the story "The Pearl" by John Steinbeck, Kino is an interesting character. He is calm but after the baby was stung, he got scared. So he and his people ran to the doctor's house, and when the doctor said he won't cure the sting on the baby, Kino got mad. Finally, after when Kino found the pearl, he told the whole colony that he was going to have a wedding with the finest clothes. Juana on the other hand was calm almost about everything. She always thinks that everything is going to be okay. When they were going to the canoe to find the pearl though, she was doubting her healing for the baby because the seaweed she was using didn't cost anything.
