Sad but Cool

Have you ever read a good book that is so sad? In the book, Eragon by Christopher Paolini, the book is really cool but sad at the same time. The book evens has two of the main characters die! Talk about sadness. I really think this book is awesome but I wish I could change some things so the book isn't depressing.

My really favorite part was when the main character, Eragon, finds this stone but then realizes that it is a dragon egg. I was surprised because in the book people thought dragons would never come again. The second reason on why I was surprised was right when Eragon realized that the stone was a dragon egg it hatched. So I thought that was cool. The other reason on why I thought the book was cool was because there were so many parts that made you want to keep reading. Here's one of them when Eragon realizes that the stone is a dragon egg on page 37 "Eragon recoiled in shock. Standing in front of him, licking off the membrane that encased it, was a dragon". That is what I liked about the book.

Even though there are good parts in the book, there are sad parts. If I were to change two things in the book it would be not having two of the main characters die. The worst part was the two people that died were strong friends of Eragon.  One of them was his teacher and one was his uncle. Also they were killed by the same person. How sad is that? The other sad part was that when his uncle died, Eragon didn’t have time to do a funeral or anything like that. I mean, how would you like to not have a funeral after you died? I would certainly not like that at all. I really wish that I could change those tragedy parts.

As you can tell this book is sad and cool at the same time. I had to say that the main lesson was pretty interesting though. It is no matter whom you are, you can still be a hero. That is the main lesson because Eragon starts out as a farm boy who lives in the middle of nowhere, but then becomes a hero to almost everybody in the country. That is what I think of the book.
